Dan Betzer

Dan Betzer, a veteran of over 60 years in broadcasting media, is a pastor, writer, television and radio host, national executive with the Assemblies of God, and is known for his ministry to children around the world.

Since 1987, he has served as senior pastor of First Assembly of God in Fort Myers, Florida. The church serves 10,000 members and adherents throughout its campuses. He served as an executive presbyter of the General Council of the Assemblies of God, representing the Southeast Region of the United States. He served as the assistant district superintendent of the Peninsular Florida District of the Assemblies of God for 16 years, carrying the portfolio of World Missions Secretary. During that time, the Peninsular Florida District gave hundreds of millions of dollars to mission’s projects around the world. He has pioneered seven churches. He is known for the “Dan and Louie" ministry to children around the world. With his famous dummy named Louie, Dan has produced over 50 audio and video albums. As a soloist, he has produced 18 albums and has sung with artists through the years, most recently with the Ralph Carmichael Orchestra. He hosts nine television programs each week in Southwest Florida, sponsored by the church he pastors. He is seen weekly on the national broadcast of “Celebration Under the Silverdome” on DirecTV. He has ministered in over 60 nations and has tirelessly worked on behalf of World Missions, raising tens of millions of dollars. For 17 years, his preaching was heard around the world each week on the Assemblies of God syndicated broadcast Revival Time. For over 20 years he has been a board member of the National Religious Broadcasters Association. Prior to entering the ministry, he was a radio/television news anchor for a number of years. He has authored more than 20 published books, including a best-selling novel. “Godcast,” his most recent release, is now available through all major retail outlets. Pastor Betzer has been married for more than 50 years to his wife, Darlene; they have three daughters and a son and seven grandchildren. His hobbies include reading, golf and fishing.
