Master's Commission & Family Pastor
I was born in the Netherlands and my family moved to Wisconsin when I was three years old. I am thankful that I grew up in a Christian home with a wonderful family. I attended North Central University in Minneapolis, MN and earned a degree in Pastoral Studies in 1994. I then went to Ottumwa, IA to be a youth pastor. Lisa and I were married in 1994 and then moved to West Bend, WI to serve as youth pastors.
In 1997 God called us to Fort Myers to help establish Fort Myers Master's Commission at First Assembly. Over the years God has blessed us with the honor of serving under Pastor Betzer's vision. Since the inception of FMMC we have literally seen hundreds of disciples trained to love, trust and serve the Lord all over the globe.
Lisa and I have also had the honor of teaching a great group of people in a Sunday School Class called Iron Sharpens Iron. We have been teaching this class since 2009 and love the atmosphere where people are growing in their relationships with the Lord and with each other.
Our lives dramatically changed in 2002 when our first child, Annalisse was born. Since then we had Kaatja in 2004, Annika in 2007 and then God saw fit to give us a boy, Eli, in 2009. Being a part of the First Assembly family is just one part of how God continues to bless our family!
